Being in touch with today’s music is part of what makes us unique. Sure, the classics are always a sure thing, but it’s just as important to be hip and modern and staying on top of the music scene. Here are some newer artists that can satisfy the young and old at your next event.

Cocktail Hour

√The Black Keys-If you’re on the rocker side of things, The Black Keys can satisfy your alternative/indie/blues craving. Try out If You Ever Slip for a nice feel that harkens back to the 90’s grunge era.

√Maroon 5-Alright, they’re not new, but their sound is extremely recognizable and most of their songs are PERFECT for the cocktail hour. Sunday Morning is one of our personal favorites.

√Ryan Adams-He’s a cross between Folk and Emo. Check out his cover of When The Stars Go Blue.

√Mumford and Sons-Speaking of Folk music, these gentlemen have brought this sound back to the forefront. They’ve even helped similar artists like The Lumineers to the mainstream. Sigh No More is a good taste of what this group is all about.

√Bruno Mars-He writes feel good music and his lyrics are spot-on. He can satisfy the guys and girls with his sound. Marry You makes you want to tap your foot while sipping on your favorite beverage.

Dance Floor Heavy Hitters

√David Guetta-He’s a huge reason dance music has taken over America recently. He’s produced songs for superstars like Flo Rida, Rihanna, and many others. One of our personal favorites is When Love Takes Over featuring Kelly Rowland.

√Calvin Harris-Another producer/DJ/artist, this Scottish talent has also helped bring dance music to the mainstream. Feel So Close and Sweet Nothing with Florence Welch are fist pumping favorites.

√Carly Rae Jepsen-You might be sick of Call Me Maybe. You might not be sick of it. She’s definitely no one hit wonder. Check out Good Times and her newest single Tonight I’m Getting Over You for the slick electro beat.

√Afrojack-This Dutch producer/DJ/artist is another big part of mainstream dance music. He’s the producer of Pitbull’s #1 smash Give Me EverythingTake Over Control and As Your Friend really showcase his sound.

√Pitbull-Withstanding the test of time, Pitbull’s been around for over 10 years and keeps on going. His latest, Feel This Moment with Christina Aguilera samples A-ha’s Take On Me.

These artists have been remixed countless times by other producers and DJ’s. Chances are we’ve heard of a particular remix that you might be familiar with. We can incorporate your favorites into the soundtrack of your night!
